New video by the Code master. The CM has once again added to someone else’s video to get his point across. He has used Kimberly Millers video and added codes pictures and sound clips. We have 2 sets of code letters and a picture puzzle. We are listening to the soundtrack but so far things seem to be quotes and voices we have heard before.
Title : Kimberly Miller BARES ALL - The Threads Begin to Unravel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zv7tgqzMBzo
Video notes : The key is the verse
Code 1.
Db ktzhp tyo wpqylbro epas
Wptfawwe Sic
Code 2.
gqrctmm wzclm odoi ieoh pd vfz yvm
Picture Puzzle
The picture puzzle were pieces from Rembrandt's "Return of the Prodigal Son", c. 1662.
With the word “INIQUITY” painted across it and the numbers 5:9 in the corner of one of the pieces
Searching iniquity 5:9 – we get
Deuteronomy 5:9 King James Bible
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the
LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers
upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that
hate me,
The CM has confirmed that this is the correct verse – We are not sure if we need a different translation yet.
More posts as we solve things.

Hello Michael and everyone else,
Sorry I have been very busy lately with school so I haven't had time to post. Working with the other players, we have now solved all of the codemaster's codes for this video (that we know of anyway).
As Das Llama said above, we were supposed to find Deuteronomy 5:9 from the given clues (5:9, iniquity). The clue told us the key is the verse. Well, this ended up being exactly right. For 2 of the codes we needed to rotate the letters backwards based on the bible verse.
Here's how it works:
| Quote: | 1. Take a blank sheet of paper and write the alphabet vertically down the side.
2. Write the cipher on one line, and the verse directly below it (note: he used shall, not shalt).
3. Put your pencil on the first letter of the code (on the list you made). So that would be G.
4. Look at the corresponding letter of the bible verse. That would be T.
5. Now, start going backwards and say the alphabet out loud until you get to T. If you reach the top (a) go back to the bottom. Remember to go backwards, and dont start counting until the first one before the key letter. |
So:
| Quote: | gqrctmm wzclm odoi ieoh pd vfz yvm
thousha llnot bowd ownt hy sel fun
Michael knows more than he can say |
black = code
blue = key
red = solution
A (f)
B (e)
C (d)
D (c)
E (b)
F (start counting, a)
G Start Here
H
I
J
K
L
M (t)
N (s)
O (r)
P (q)
Q (p)
R (o)
S (n)
T (m)
U (l)
V (k)
W (j)
X (i)
Y (h)
Z (g)
You can also use online vigenere cipher programs to do this, except the alphabet has to be changed so that A=1, not A=0.
This method also solves the next code:
| Quote: | Wptfawwe Sic
thousha llno[t bowd ownt hy sel fun]
Chekov's Gun |
black = code
blue = key
red = solution
Chekhov's Gun is the literary technique whereby an element is introduced early in the story, but whose significance does not become clear until later on. For example, a character may find a mysterious object that eventually becomes crucial to the plot, but at the time of finding the object does not seem to be important.
I think the CM is using this form of foreshadowing a lot in his videos. We see the large knife multiple times, the Jesus Statue, references to the number 13, so many little things that we probably overlooked will make sense in the end.
Chekov's Gun is needed to decode the final message:
| Quote: | Db ktzhp, tyo wpqylbro epas...
ChekovsGunChekovsGu
At first, art imitatcs life... |
black = code
blue = key
red = solution
This is a typo which should be:
At first, art imitates life...
Michael, my obvious question is, what is the Codemaster talking about when he says you know more than you can say? What do you know that you aren't telling us?
