My step-daughter

Well, my stepdaughter just told me she was making a video, and my ex-wife says that I can't stop them from releasing it since she's Eric's birth mother- so I guess this is a warning - Carlie and I aren't on speaking terms anymore, and I can only imagine it won't be a friendly video. Just take it with a grain of salt please, because she has some personal issues against me that she likes to bring up at every opportunity, no matter how inappropriate, and I'm sure this will be no exception.

I understand that you feel your ex and steps video may exacerbate the situation but just keep in mind that we are on your side in this dire of situations. While we may take the video with a grain of salt, any insight into the case of your sons kidnapping could be significant. Sometimes you have to dip your pen in the devil's inkwell to get the truth. While it may be painful to have your personal issues broadcast to the world, we may also get that one clue that will draw us closer to ending this in a good way.

Hi Micheal,

By now you have had time to digest the video that your stepdaughter Kimberly has put up. I don't want to nag you with a bunch of questions or speculate on the content of her video. I told you that I would watch the video with an open mind and take what was said with a grain of salt. That being said my only question for you is: What did you think of the video?

It is exactly what I expected from her. They have an axe to grind against me and they do it at every opportunity, no matter how inappropriate. If she was really that concerned about finding Eric, then she would have been involved in this process from the very beginning. To say that I'm not doing everything I can to find my son is beyond offensive and asinine. They have no idea how much I've done, because frankly, they haven't done anything. They see this as another opportunity to attack me, and they care more about doing that then finding Eric. It's really disgusting. And let me add - there are two sides to every story. I never wanted to get a divorce from Carlie, but it came to the point where I had no choice. When your wife is so drunk everyday that she can't even take care of your kids while you're at work, and she won't get help, what the hell are you supposed to do? This was going on for literally years - I tried everything to help her, but nothing worked. In the end I had to put the interest of my children first, and I thought that she was a danger not only to herself but to them as well. The court agreed with me and gave me custody. She had limited visitation rights, which were contingent on her sobriety. I hate having to talk about this publically, but I will defend myself when attacked.

Finally, saying that I had some secret conversation with Eric is complete and total bullshit. The police know about all the conversations I had with him. They know I talked to him during the week before he was kidnapped. The conversations I had with him then were the same as all of our conversations. He told me he needed more money, that he was in a horrible situation, that he had overdue bills and maxed credit cards - I told him that I wasn't going to give him any more money and that he should move back to Chicago and get a real job instead of wasting his time, education and potential in a career where only a tiny fraction of the people can actually make a living. Then he'd hang up on me.

Eric was always asking me for something - and I certainly helped him - I gave him a lot of money, I helped finance his car, I even paid for one of his acting classes. But it came to a point where I wasn't willing to support him in this career anymore because I didn't believe it was best for him. As a parent, I wanted to see him successful, not spending his entire life going paycheck to paycheck without a steady job or source of income. I know Carlie agreed with me about this point too. If I had known about all of the things he was going through in his personal life, if I had known he was in any danger at all, you can bet I would have been on a plane to Los Angeles the very next day. My deepest regret is not being close enough with him so that he felt comfortable taking about these things, and if he had talked about them, the last thing I'd do is keep it a secret from the police and hinder this investigation. Kimberly and Carlie have absolutely no idea what they're talking about, because frankly, they don't care enough to be involved.

In the latest video made by the Codemaster, there is an older woman in a chair (near the end of the video). Is that your ex-wife? Do you recognize her at all?

Just a couple of quickies.

A) How come you allowed Kim to use the finderictaylor youtube account?

It seems to me that while you couldn't stop her from posting a vid she could have gotten her own account.

B) Any idea why comments are blocked on her vid?

C) Since I can't, will you Micheal, tell her to get back to Denny's?

Sorry, I been hittin the bottle a little bit and the more I watch her video the angrier I get. It's like that movie "Joe Dirt"(not sure if you've had the displeasure of viewing that fine gem of fossilized excrement) where the kid is missing for his whole life. Then at the end his parents show up when he gets famous. It turns out the only reason they show up is to hock their ceramic clowns. Well, I guess long story longer, Kimbererely just neeeded a clown to sell. I don't want to call names but well, it rhymes with Media Hore.

a.) The YouTube page, just like this website, is being overseen and operated by a third party, and she's been given access to both of them.

b.) I have no idea.

c.) Ok, but I'm not really sure I understand what you're talking about. I assume you're trying to say you're on my side, so, um, thank you for that.
